1. Where do I go to pick up my keys for the cabin?

At traffic light #3 in Gatlinburg, turn east on Hwy 321. Go 2.5 miles, look for the Gatlinburg City Hall building and Fire Department. We are about 1/4 a mile past them on the right hand side of the road. We share a parking lot with Heritage Village, look for their sign (it's bigger than ours) and turn into the parking lot. The keys can be picked up at the back of the Little Log Wedding Chapel in the office. Our street address is 1350 East Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN.  37738

2. What is the weather like when I want to come?

As the largest and tallest mountain mass in eastern North America, the Smokies generate a weather pattern which is much wetter and colder than that of the surrounding region. Weather here is often quite changeable; a local saying goes, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes."

Spring - March has the most variable weather patterns. Snow or rain can fall on any day, especially at the higher elevations. By mid- to late-April, the weather becomes milder, with daytime temperatures ranging from the 70s to low 40s at night. May temperatures can climb into the 80s or dip into the 30s.

Summer - By mid-June, heat, haze and humidity are the norm. Average temperatures are in the upper 80s during the day and 50s at night.

Fall - In mid-September, a pattern of warm, sunny days and crisp, clear nights often begins. However, cool rainy days do occur, as well. Dustings of snow may fall in the higher elevations in November.

Winter - Days during this fickle season can be sunny and in the 70s or snowy with highs in the 20s. In the low elevations, snows of one inch of more occur one to five times per season with substantial accumulation in the high country.
